K9 Police Team Earns Top Honors

Officer Thomas L. Krutka and K-9 Jax

Officer Thomas L. Krutka and K-9 Jax

I’m proud to announce that one of my clients, Officer Thomas L. Krutka and his partner K-9 Jax were awarded the “Narcotic Detection Team of the Year” for 2014 by the Massachusetts Police Work Dog Association’s annual training conference.

Having worked with Officer Krutka on designing the Southwick Police website and getting a chance to witness him in the field I was impressed with the hard work, dedication and pride Officer Krutka displayed in all facets of his career.

This award is well deserved and reflects not just Officer Krutka’s hard work, but all of our officers throughout Western Massachusetts.

So for all that Officer Krutka, Jax and all of our officers do to help keep us safe and better serve our community… Thank You.

A Stocking Stuffer Christmas Video

Can you you believe its Christmas time once again?

It seems like yesterday we produced our first Sockies Holiday Puppet video starring everybody’s favorite Red Nosed Reindeer. Well since then these “Yuletide stockings-come-to-life” shorts have become something of a Holiday tradition.

Well, far be it from me to break with tradition so let’s bring on another one!

READY?

This year’s offering is brought to life by the vocal talents of Luke DeRosa. “A Christmas Wish” performed/composed by Luke DeRosa and produced/recorded by Pat Keogh.

Oh, and we can’t forget the wonderful artistry of Katy Zyra with assistance from Ken and Michael Parker along with a special shout out to John Courtney.

So come all ye faithful and watch the latest Sockie Christmas video.

And let’s not forget the ghost of Christmas’ past….  Here are 3 more Holiday gems to put the holly in your berry, the egg in your nog, the mistle in your toe… err… you get the idea.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Stay Fit During The Holidays

Final Destination Fitness

Are you ready to get in shape? ARE YOU?

No, don’t worry, I’m not trying to sell you a fitness plan or new diet fad.  What I am doing is telling you about my latest design project.

Earlier this year I was approached by registered nurse Lindsey Petrangelo to help her set-up and promote her new business, a fitness studio specializing in personal training and exercise classes.

So without further ado let me introduce you to Final Destination Fitness!

Oh, and let me mention that this site was specifically designed to be mobile and tablet friendly, meaning it’s fully responsive, more on this in another blog.

So there you have it another design done and a new business about to be born.  Who says America is no longer the land of opportunity?

Now before I forget, I know I’ve been kind of quiet for the past few months, but I’ve been busy designing and creating, and hopefully with a little luck and lots of coffee I’ll be able to showcase a few more projects in the very near future.  So until then check out Lindsey’s new business and hey you might even want to give her a call and check out what she has to offer.  I speak from personal experience I do.

And hey let’s not forget about Thanksgiving.  So before you head on over to Final Destination Fitness to work off all that turkey, pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce, have a Happy Holiday and enjoy these little Thanksgiving treats…

Then go to Final Destination Fitness!

Just want to update folks who haven’t heard from me in a while.  Yup, it’s really me and I’ve been working on many different projects and all have been very rewarding and challenging!

I can’t show you much right now, but maybe just a little teaser…

Yessir!  Your eyes aren’t deceiving…that surely is half of a carrot cake.  I’ll give you 3 guesses who ate the other half.

In the meantime… be on the look out for more updates!

THe Future and Freedom of Broadcasting

desktop_deviceCollage@2xHere’s a very interesting video on how the Supreme Court is deciding on the future of TV.  Aero, a company that manufactures and sells over-the-air antennas for mobile devices as well as recording capabilities for the same over-the-air signals is being put on trial for copyright infringement.

Aero argues that having an antennae to receive over-the-air signals and recording those signals has been firmly established as legal while the content providers are arguing that their copyright is being infringed upon.

What do you guys think?  Should it be ok to sell antennas for tablets and cell phones or is Aero violating copyright providers?

A very controversial and fascinating juncture in our broadcasting history wouldn’t you say?
