Time for a Brand New Poll Question

To 3-D or Not to 3-D

Avatar on Blur-ay 3D

Hello folks, welcome back to another edition of The Emmy Winning Blog.  This time out I would like to bring up the topic of 3-D by asking a poll question, but first let’s go over the results of our last poll question.

“Which media do you believe is the most effective and relevant in today’s marketplace?”

And the results are:

2 votes for “other”

2 votes for “word of mouth”

0 votes for “outdoor advertising” (no love for billboards or bus advertising, I guess)

1 vote for “social media”

2 votes for “internet advertising”

1 vote for “print advertising”

And an overwhelming 8 votes for “TV/Cable advertising”

Superbowl Sunday is the biggest day of the year for ad agencies

While this poll is obviously not scientific, it clearly shows how much respect TV/cable advertising still merits.  There is no questioning the reach and power this

medium still has on advertising dollars.  One just has to look at what advertisers paid for during this year’s Super Bowl Broadcast.

However, an effective advertising campaign will need to look at all media to ensure success.

Now that we got that out of the way it’s time to move on to our next poll.

What do you think of 3-D in Movies, TV and on the Web?

  • Just a passing fad (29%, 4 Votes)
  • Here to stay (29%, 4 Votes)
  • It will stay once they get rid of the need for glasses (29%, 4 Votes)
  • I don't know (7%, 1 Votes)
  • Other (7%, 1 Votes)
  • Only movies will fully adopt 3-D (0%, 0 Votes)

Total Voters: 14

I don’t need to be part of the story, would rather be looking from the outside in.
